The 1Shot basketball program was started in 2020 by founder Mike Newble.

Coach Mike continues to run, and build Rockford’s most elite AAU basketball program.

Coach Green has loved basketball as long as he can remember. His ball was always in his hands. He spent his youth playing for numerous teams, and helping lead them to success. He will always remember winning the REBA championship and having the chance to play at the metro center. Coach Green played in high school for Jefferson and learned the hard lesson of how important academics are for eligibility.

He is passionate about the game of basketball and teaching the basic fundamentals to grow into new skills, drills, and plays. He believes that life skills can be learned on the court. Being able to learn leadership, how to control emotions, and how to work together as a team are traits that will turn these boys into men. As our motto states, ‘We’ve only got 1shot!’
